Is there still a chance for a Phoenician/ Carthaginian religion?

It's basically polytheism with two or three dominant deities and a more or less unique deity for every city state
Zoroastrianism is acceptable only because the Phoenicians were conquered and part of Persia. it is not convenient for Carthage, neither seems any other available religion and since the tribe of Phoenicians is playable, a culture independant from Persia is indicated.

How about Henotheism an unspecific, more general option for a religion, so useful for more tribes than just the punics, though the term is a modern one.
I am not sure it can be applicated for us, anyone more educated on that matter?

Zoroastianism was not a polytheistic faith.
Not by the wiki description. Zoroastrianism

Instead it is a truth seeking somewhat like the "self-enlightenment" method.

True though that some malefic attributes were labeled to them but mostly by Roman and Greek cultures intent on conquest and having no better excuse.
I am pushing the "truth" angle....not the child sacrificing (slander with a hint of truth?) angle.
It may be closer to shamanism in its methods than polytheism.

Please leave Zoroastianism intact.

I did not intent to have Zoroastrianism changed. I am simply not comfortable with Carthage being zoro, but don't see there was a really good alternative right now.
Shamanism is rather unspecific and does not fit, because of the common associations with the term.
Religion is what basically defined the different cultures, isn't it? So I'd like to have something more fitting.

You should also add Paleo-Balkanic religion for Dacians, Thracians, and Illyrians.
