I am donating some data for the common good, the original being once again in German

Armor: Handicap and Skill
Was now added [as of several years ago].
Skill is exactly as with the weapon (visible under warrior / fight) and rises and sinks at exactly the same speed.
To illustrated the effects:
For a non-armored warrior offensive, defensive and avoid values are multiplied by a factor of 1.2 because he is unencumbered.
For complete 4-part new leather armor the values are multiplied by 0.9
For complete 4-part leather armor that you have gained skill for the values are in best case multiplied by 1.1
For complete 4-part heavy armor the values are multiplied by 0.2
For complete 4-part heavy armor that you have gained skill for the values are in best case multiplied by 0.8"

Behinderungs-Malus bei Ruestungen wurde halbiert. Dadurch sollten Ruestungen wesentlich mehr bringen.

Change of fight equations
The handicap factor for armor was halved. Armor should therefore be much more effective now."

I am not sure, what the current multiplication factors for armor are, since they handicap factor was halved, they should be somewhat higher than the multiplication factors quoted above. Does anyone know for sure?
I am donating my duelling stats from the clone of this game:
Unarmored:
offensive value 22.71
defensive value 89.02
avoid value 3.31
One duel later after buying and putting on a full set of old leather armor:
offensive value 19.6
defensive value 76.83
avoid value 2.85
With armor skill 30 % the values are much lower than without armor. The benefits of armor are a decrease of the number of hitpoints you can get hit with, if I understand this correctly, equal to the number of protection points of your armor.
This once more illustrates the fact, that light armor probably is not worth the bother and handicap factor, when it offers so little protection. Unless you are wearing it for reasons of fashion - that light leather armor torso protection for men has a truly amazing codpiece I always thought.
