Joined a tribe, and couldnt request a village (none in list) now im king of same tribe and have a free choice of about 10 villages. can someone explain how the distribution of villages works please? (how come as a normal member of tribe list shows no villages? does king have to somehow 'release' villages so people can request them?)

A province has 10 villages. If you want, you can give all of them to your warriors but this is not thew best thing you can do. If you do a little math, you will see that if you give all 10 villages to your warriors, you will quickly run out of peasants before you will be able to build a "watch" that will enable the increase of the number of peasants. A province can hold a maximum of 5 fully developed villages and this only with a carefully planned development policy.

thanks aga, seems to be working now, and i'll bear your advice in mind. think it was some glitch, the list to request village didnt show any entries, but as i said, it is now working hehe. had me a bit stumped for a while.
