Yep - the renewed and optimised proposal of the Sarmatians titles is confirmed by our side!

... just found another alternative...
Following article is a work about the Scyths:
http://www.fourpxarticles.com/disease-and-illness/multiple-sclerosis/scythians/
yes - the addy sounds a bit strange
I assume that it is okay to work on a scythian based theory because:
QUOTE: The Sarmatians (including the Alans and finally the Ossetians) counted as Scythians in the broadest sense of the word as speakers of Northeast Iranian languages but nevertheless remain distinct from the Scythians proper.
The proposal for the title Archon would be
Xaya wich equals Ruler.
QUOTE: ^ Traces of the Iranian root xaya "ruler" may persist in all three names.
You will find different sources on the title Xaya, like
http://en.cyclopio.com/Scythian%20languages?7
QUOTE: Some scholars ascribe certain inscribed objects found in the Carpathian Basin and in Central Asia to the Scythians, but the interpretation of these inscriptions remains disputed (given that nobody has definitively identified the alphabet or translated the content).
An inscription from Saqqez written in the Hieroglyphic Hittite script may represent Scythian: Text and translation in J. Harmatta, "Herodotus, historian of the Cimmerians and the Scythians", in: Hérodote et les peuples non grecs, Vanduvres-Genève 1990, pp. 115-130.
Transliteration: pa-tì-na-sa-nà tà-pá wa-s-na-m XL was-was-ki XXX ár-s-tí-m -kar-kar (HA) har-s-ta LUGAL | par-tì-ta-wa ki--a-á KUR-u-pa-ti QU-wa-a | i-pa--a-m
Transcription: patinasana tapa. vasnam: 40 vasaka 30 arzatam ikar. UTA harsta XAYAL. | Partitava xaya DAHYUupati xva|ipayam
Translation: "Delivered dish. Value: 40 calves 30 silver iqlu. And it was presented to the king. | King Partitavas, the masters of the land property."

May be this can help:
http://encycl.opentopia.com/term/Ban_%28title%29
QUOTE: The word ban entered English from Serbo-Croat ban "lord, master, ruler", itself presumably from Persian ban "prince, lord, chief, governor", related to Sanskrit pati "guards, protects". Others believe the word originates from Sarmatian bajan; it also bears a similarity to the Turkic-Mongolian (unrelated) khan. The word is preserved in many modern-day place names. But there are alternative theories concerning Illyrian origin and the Illyrian name Banius, which is to be found on Illyrian remains in Bosnia. According to one theory, the title of ban derived from the name of an Avar cagan, Bajan.

I must thank Eadgils for pointing out such very interesting and documented article
referring to Scyths (in connection with the subject).
We agree already about a scythian based theory, in connection with Amazons.
It's for you to decide if you like Bajas or Xaya.
Do not throw the arrow which will return against you!

Okay - here is the final decision of the Sarmation nation (the very, very,very final one )
Archon -> Xaya
Locum -> Shaman
Protector -> Chief
Warrior -> Horseman (male) / Amazon (female)
@ Opa Kralle: Would you be so kind to revise our proposal on the claims board? Merci!
@ all: Thanks for the hard work!

As with history these sources are all good none of them could be accurate and then all of them could we will never know for sure! i was asked to comment on adopting amazons because of the history they have with sarmatians! from what i understand sarmatians come from a joing of sycthian men and amazon women at some point during the 1st century bc!
