I am not yet entirely clear on the Role Play Rules.

I think if you are writing that you are taking a lovely swim in the Meditarranean Sea, you are actually supposed to be near the Meditarranean Sea.

So if I want to write about some place I have never been near, or am dying to comment on someone else's writing in a far off place - can I simply invent a non role-playing friend as my mouth-piece who happened to be on-site?
