Sigfried could not sleep.

Out of the tent, the Teuton warrior start walking along the river where the army camp. Didn't find the peace he use to find looking at the stars, having a way to get closer to them.
In fact it was even worse, all those stars from far away falling make him not looking anymore, overwhelmed.

Sigfried agrees something strange is happen to him, beyond his mortal ability to comprehend.
He could not sleep for days now and that's a new experience for him. The young warrior is not the kind of man having second thoughts, once making a decision he trouble his mind with this only it's need it to execute.
Why he could not sleep then?

As usual he call for the village witch to read the runes. The ugly old woman stare at the runes long enough without saying a word. That was really unusual. Sigfried was more anxious as ever.

What the runes says?

The woman turn the head and in his eyes like a blind man eyes Sigfried was not able to read anything. It looks like the gods curse him with the heaviest curse possible, even the runes not showing anything.

The witch throw the runes again saying a spell Sigfried don't remember to be said. She screech even twice and second time wake up from the spell, looks at Siegfried as a stranger and says only that before collapse:

"It's a matter of Faith"
